Our Costa Rica Wedding

I was nervous about planning a 'destination wedding' in costa rica. Id never been to the country and so I had no idea what to expect. I needed someone I could trust. I emailed a few travel companies to see if I could get some help with planning our trip. Meghan INSTANTLY stood out as THE person I was going to work with. One of the most important things she did was communicate with me!!!! She was VERY responsive to all my questions, BEFORE I had even hired her. She always got back to me in a VERY timely manner and if asked, gave her personal opinion on some of the things I had worries about. Bottom line, I would recommend Meghan without ANY reservations. Her service, skill, knowledge and expertise was OUTSTANDING. Our casual costa rica wedding was a phenomenal success and I feel like I owe it all to her. I wish she could plan all our trips all over the world - I wouldnt have a worry in the world if she could!

As the mother-of-the-bride, I had many many many questions for Meghan, during the year of planning the wedding. We emailed back and forth, she replied immediately, patiently, and with copious amounts of information. I was thrilled. And it was delightful to meet her in person in Costa Rica. Her attention to detail is remarkable. My daughter and son-in-law were very fortunate to have Meghan planning their beautiful wedding!

We fell in love with Costa Rica on our first trip. It was everything we had envisioned it to be and more. What a total dream come true! We were in paradise, it was perfect. Our second visit reassured us that our first experience wasn't a matter of luck. There is a unique kind of serenity that you experience when you are deep in the heart of Arenal Volcano's valley, regardless of what you are doing. And sure enough, we enjoyed every minute of it the second time around.

On our third trip to Costa Rica, we tied the knot. Ninety (yes, 90!) of our family and friends flew from different parts of the US. We were so excited to share the Costa Rica experience with those near and dear to us. Our group spent almost a week at Los Lagos Resort and enjoyed many adventures like zip lining, ATV rides through the rainforest, white water rafting, bathing in pools of hot and cold spring water, getting up close to the butterflies and hummingbirds, and learning about nature. The food was great and the staff was very attentive and courteous.

Our wedding day was amazing. We were married in Koita Restaurant on a beautiful spot with Arenal Volcano as our backdrop. In true Costa Rican fashion, Meghan and her team handled the logistics of our entire wedding week and made everything seem as if nature had simply intended all the good things to happen. It is no exaggeration: Our Costa Rica Wedding did an amazing job and we are so very thankful to them. From the nuances of arranging international travel, booking rooms and event spaces for a guest list that grew from 40 to 90 guests, to making reliable and reasonable recommendations that worked with different budget levels, handling each concern with compassion, attention and transparency, Meghan and her team were so committed to clearing the path for the (nervous) bride and groom so they can focus on what important: each other. It is not a surprise that they're so highly recommended.They also came with solid recommendations, like the venue (which was just breathtaking), our photographer Toh Gouttenoire (who got us our photos in only a couple of weeks) and our DJ Joshua Wilson (who was able to work with the playlist since more than half of our guests were Filipino).

We just had the time of our lives and we owe it all to Meghan. Our Honeymoon/Elopement was perfect. Every location, hotel, activity, and wedding arrangement was perfectly planned. I will never forget this moment in my life and I'm so grateful for all of the planning that helped make it so perfect. !Pura Vida!

Meghan helped us plan every detail of our 2 week wedding adventure to Costa Rica. From the ceremony, vendors, group excursions, to working with each guest individually to help customize their trip, she was hands on to make planning an easy process.

The property Meghan recommended for the wedding, The Lost Iguana, was breathtaking and the ceremony and reception was absolutely amazing! We loved the wonderful staff at the hotel, the musicians she recommended, the officiant, the flowers, the photographer, the food and all the care she put into the decorations and details of our wedding day. It truly EXCEEDED our expectations and was the wedding of our dreams! Thank you Our Costa Rica Weddings for giving us the wedding adventure we wanted...everyone had an amazing time!

Meghan and Ryan planned our entire destination wedding from beginning to end in 6 weeks! It was beautiful and perfect! We could not have asked for anything better. All our guests had a blast! We did not have to worry about anything, Meghan and Ryan worked with all the vendors, all we had to do was get married! We will be forever grateful for the experience. We could not have asked for more. We love you guys!

I am the mother-of-the-bride- this was my fourth time in this role- and absolutely the best time. I was skeptical of how everything could get done right on a destination wedding, but I did not need to worry. Basically I just showed up and enjoyed the best 4 days of my life with family and friends. Everything was beautiful and unique and perfectly coordinated. My daughter had a truly romantic, exciting and perfect wedding at about 1/3 the cost of a "regular" wedding in the States. And nothing about this wedding was "regular"....everyone was so thrilled with the zip-lining, white water tubing, monkeys, and overall beauty of Costa Rica. Meghan at Our Costa Rica Wedding listened patiently to everything we wanted and made it all happen without a hitch. Unbelievable praise for Meghan, Costa Rica, and my daughter's wonderful wedding!

Our Costa Rica Wedding was absolutley Amazing! I wouldnt change anything about it. Everything from our Ceremony to Our Dinner Table was breathtakingly beautiful.
